Puritan Cleaners

From its humble beginnings in 1958 to the laundry and dry-cleaning powerhouse it is today, Puritan Cleaners (1980) Ltd. has celebrated over 60+ years of service to the people of the Cayman Islands, with Mr Cardinall DaCosta at its helm as its Managing Director.

In 1960, Puritan Cleaners became a member of the International Fabricare Institute (IFI) now known as the Dry Cleaning and Laundry Institute (DLI). In 1980, Mr Cardinall DaCosta retained full ownership of the business which he acquired from his brothers, at which time the name was changed to Puritan Cleaners (1980) Ltd. Not long after the business was moved to 337 Eastern Avenue, in George Town to facilitate a more spacious plant, able to handle larger bulk laundry and to provide a more customer-friendly environment with ample parking. Throughout the years, Puritan Cleaners (1980) Ltd. continued to expand its services to the community by offering additional services such as mat/rugs cleaning, rental of table napery, cleaning of drapes, both onsite and offsite, the cleaning of curtains, chair covers, leather cleaning on or off island (if required), cleaning and preservation of wedding dresses to name a few, all backed by free pickup and delivery to its valued customers.
